For those reporting that their settings have been deleted, this issue is simply solved by restarting the EVE Launcher. This happens due to the updater automatically starting the EVE Launcher after it has been updated, with incorrect path semantics.

Secondly for those getting the offline mode webpage from within the EVE Launcher, this is because the EVE Launcher is timing out when attempting to connect to our webservers. We're currently looking into why the webservers aren't responding in a timely fashion, and hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.

Doing that trapped me in endless update cycles. Running Repair.exe then Launching the game from :C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe has me with a working connection.

Crap, I hope I dont get into endless update cycles. Just manually run the exefile program. It's busy downloading a 23MB patch. I'm amazed at the general incompetence

CCP still has not learned to communicate. Assign a single person to sit in this thread and respond to every single user who posts - you could call him 'CCP Punchingbag'. They don't really need to say much of any use other than "yes, we hear you and we are sorry." They could make some self deprecating jokes, maybe award people a new item 'launcher.exe' for lols, or run some in game item giveaways to pass the time. It doesn't get much functionally accomplished but the PR value would be a lot better than this experience has been. A situation like this with this user base requires constant communication.

Not that there's much to report that hasn't been covered in this thread. At the moment there's no solution that works for all use cases that we know of. What I can tell you is that that investigation into what is causing the massive load issues to our web servers is underway and we're not going home until this is fixed. We're really sorry for all the trouble.

Our dev teams are indeed working on fixing the whole issue with top priority. Unfortunately in situations like these we cannot predict any ETA and giving a time frame would be very irresponsible. Be assured though that we are working as hard as possible to find a proper solution as fast as possible.
